a. Create, save and Closing Documents
Microsoft created a simple word document typed text. Marks the text insertion point will appear in the document. When text is typed outside the left margin, said the next move to text line. Each pressing Enter just to start a new paragraph, not a newline.
In this exercise, you will insert text into a new document, adding a symbol, save your new document and close.
- 1. On the standard toolbar, click New Blank Document. A new document window opens.
- With the insertion mark at the beginning of a new document, type the new text and press enter. The text appears in the new document.
- Press enter again to insert a blank line below the title.

- In the list of folders and file name in the My Documents folder, click twice in the folder you want.

- On the left menu bar click the Close Window button. Your document will close.
b. Editing a Document
In this exercise, you will edit the text in an existing document. l menyispkan and deleting text, undelete, copy and paste, and move a paragraph.
1. Click twice to select the word, and then press Enter to delete that word and replace it with a new, blank paragraph.
2. Press End to move the insertion point to end of line.
3. Press the down arrow four times, while still holding Ctrl. and then click on any paragraphs that you choose.
4. Press delete to delete the phrase
5. On the standard toolbar, click the Undo button to cancel the text that was deleted.
6. Once we select a sentence, click the copy button. The text has been copied.
7. Press Ctrl + Home to move a parenthesis to the beginning point of the document, and on the Standard toolbar, click the Paste button.
8. Choose a new text line, and on the standard toolbar, click Cut button to cut untu.
9. Press Ctrl + End to move the insertion point to the end of the document, and then press Enter to go into a new line.
10. On the standard toolbar, click the Save button. Word document to save changes.
c. Using Text Entry Shortcuts
In this exercise, you will use the AutoCorrect and change settings. You will insert AutoText entry and create a new AutoText entry.
1. On the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect Options. AutoCorrect dialog box will appear, display the AutoCorrect tab.

2. Eliminate the sign on the Capitalize first letter of Sentences, then Word will not make capital letters.
3. Click the Replace box, and type ETC.
4. Move the box by pressing Tab with.
Type in Palembang.
5. Click Add to add the entry to the correction list.
The text for the new AutoCorrect will be included in a document each time you type the abbreviation and pressing the space key.
6. Click OK to close the AutoCorrect dialog box.
7. On the Insert menu, click Date and Time. Date and Time dialog box will appear.

8. Click today's date using the format dd mm yy, such as February 22, 2005 and click OK. Word insert the current date in the document.
Insert, Position and Size Graphics
a. Insert a picture object
To place an object you can retrieve images from the Clip Art Gallery. Follow the following steps:
1. Place the point of parenthesis in the position you want.
2. Select the Insert menu and then click Picture and then Clip Art. Task pane window insert Clip Art will be displayed on the right.

3. In the Search text field, typing categories of images, sounds or animated images that you wish to search. If you know the name of the desired image file, you can also directly type the name of the file. For example, you want to search for images by category "business".
4. In the Search button in the options list, specify the search location. You can select All collection, if the search will be conducted at all locations.
5. In the Result Should be a list of options, specify the file you want to your search. You can select All media file types, if you want to do searches on all types of image files, sound and animation.
6. To start searching, click the Search command. Wait until the file images, sounds or animated images are searchable found and displayed.
7. To place images, sounds or animated images that have been found, select it and click on the image you want.
8. If you intend to look for other pictures categories or search for other image file name, click the Modify command.
Note:
· You can set the object placement location by selecting the object image, and then slide into a new position you desire.
• To delete an object image that has been placed, select it by clicking on the image and then use the Delete button.
b. The position and size of the object image
You can manage and organize your image objects that have been placed by using the Picture toolbar row. To display the Picture toolbar, select it and click the View menu then Toolbars and then Picture.
To set the image size you can use the mouse and then drag the image with hold the left mouse click after changing the size of the arrows appear above the small box on the sides of the picture.
c. Set the Format Picture Display Object Already Placed
To adjust the display picture you can use the following steps:
1. Select the object you will set the format.
2. Select the Format menu and then click Picture.
3. Click the Colors and Lines tab, then on the Fill, do the selection and arrangement background colors and motifs you want.
4. Click the Size tab to adjust the image size.
On the Size and rotate, specify the image height (Height), the width of the image (width) and image rotation (Rotation).
The size of your images can also be set by changing the percentage of high-scale images (Height) and the percentage of wide-scale images (width) on the scale.
1. Click the Picture tab, to make cutting the images (crop) and set the image of the drawing.
In the Crop form, do the charging distance of cutting the image you want.
Ø Left, to cut starting from the left side.
Ø Right, to cut starting from the right side.
Ø Top, to cut starting from the upper side.
Ø Bottom, to cut from the underside.
On the Image control, selection and arrangement do the following:
ü In the Color selection list, select it and click on the object image. Image which you can choose include Automatic, Grayscale, Black & White and Water Mark.
ü Using the Brightness slider, set the light and dark image objects.
ü Using the Contrast slider, set the contrast of the image object.
1. Click the Layout tab, make arrangements for placement of the object image in the document.
* In the Wrapping Style section, select it and click way Combination object image with the text in the document.
* On the horizontal alignment, or click the button marked image placement options horizontally on the document.
2. Click OK.

c. Placing a variety of text-shaped object
To beautify the look of the document that you are doing, you can equip it with various forms of text or bundled with a drawing. The following steps you can do.
after you are done typing the text and then insert picture command.
1. Then select and place the image in your text that has been created.
2. Double-click on the picture, will be performing the dialogue box picture format. Then select the layout tab.
3. Click one of the Wrapping style such as Square and then on the horizontal alignment we click on one of the Left such as white dots.
4. Images can customize your look.
If you want to vary the appearance of text can be done the following steps:
1. Place the point of parenthesis in the position you want.
2. Select the Insert menu and then click Picture, Word Art, Word Art Gallery dialog box is displayed.
3. In the dialog box, select it and click the display style of the text that you want (WordArt Style). Then click OK. Edit WordArt Text dialog box is displayed.
4. In the Text box, type the text you want.
5. If necessary, specify the same typeface (font), font size (size) and appearance styles (bold and italic).
6. Click OK.
