RULER
Show or hide the horizontal ruler

To view the horizontal ruler across the top of your Word document, you must be in print layout view (Print Layout view: A view of a document or other object as it will appear when you print it. For example, items such as headers, footnotes, columns, and text boxes appear in their actual positions.), normal view (normal view: A view that shows text formatting and a simplified page layout. Normal view is convenient for most editing and formatting tasks.), or Web layout view (Web Layout view: A view of a document as it will appear in a Web browser. For example, the document appears as one long page (without page breaks) and text and tables wrap to fit in the window.).

On the View menu, click Ruler.


 
Show or hide the vertical ruler
To view the vertical ruler on the side of your Word document, you must be in print layout view.

1.On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the View tab.
2.Under Print and Web Layout options, select or clear the Vertical ruler (Print view only) check box.


Toolbars Menu
To Customize the toolbars menu please click tools > customize

then will show the customize windows
just drag and drop your tools for commands column and drops to the toolbars as you want.

Customize menu
* Reset: to restore to the default position
* Delete: to remove the active toolbar
* Name: to change the name of the toolbar
* Copy Button Image: to copy the active toolbar icon
* Paste Button Image: to paste icon in the toolbar that has been previously copied
* Reset Button Image: to restore the icon to the default position
* Edit Button Image: to change / draw the icon toolbar
* Change Button Image: to change the toolbar icon with the icon that has been available
* Default Style: to restore the initial view
* Text Only (Always): with this option will only display the toolbar in the form of words
* Text Only (in Menus): the toolbar is displayed in the form of words in the menu
* Image and Text: the toolbar is displayed in the form of words and icons
* Begin a Group: to classify the toolbar to give the dividing line between groups of toolbar
* Asign Hyperlink: to provide an active link on the toolbar
